Dairy Cows in Quebec

As a result of my work, I get in pretty close proximity to livestock believe it or not, so here's a quick snap of some pals I recently met and photographed in Quebec on a business trip.

Johnny Love SS09 Collection

How can you not embrace these designs from relatively new Norwegian designer Johnny Love? This is a new find for me and I was pleasantly surprised by this very solid set of classic streetwear that will keep you casual, yet diversified.

Louis Vuitton / Vogue Homme Japan

Being a big fan of Louis Vuitton's Damier Graphite print, I was obviously intrigued after seeing these fine photographs circulating around the web. The photos definitely tap into the Daft Punk runway music that Louis Vuitton has recently been using to give a certain vacuous robotic essence to these images. Excellent work from Vogue Hommes Japan.

Dwell Curved Arm Chair

A modern arm chair is quintessential to any furniture floor plan. This "tulip" inspired design is an obvious nod to Eero Saarinen's work. I give the slight edge to the black version.

Fresh Track: Kanye - Love Lockdown

One of my favourite artists in any music genre, Mr. West is definitely bringing his unique touch to the industry. I think his sense of style and music compliment each other to continually push the boundaries. His new track Love Lockdown demonstrates this mix with a simplicity that makes it stand apart from the others in the Hip Hop game. Gotta love the Taiko drums in the background.

Rocksmith Fall 08

Rocksmith, the funky pop-culture streetwear offshoot of Kilo International, is another solid brand from Japan. Japan definitely has one of the most insane street couture scenes that I've seen and Rocksmith follows suit with their 80s and 90s color profiles, pop graphics and underground creativity.

Give your street savvy a boost with Rocksmith's fall 08 lineup of tees and jackets.

Comme Des Garcons for H&M

I'm really a big fan of all things Japanese, and Rei Kawakubo is at the forefront of bringing Japanese fashion to the mainstream. Her Comme Des Garcons line for H&M this fall is highly anticipated and I would definitely like to snatch a few pieces.

A Cordial Welcome to Curve

Well, here it is! I've wanted to setup this blog for a long time and I would like to say 'kudos' to Patrick and Room 907 for giving me the motivation to finally do it. I hope you all enjoy the posts and give me feedback when you can.

To formally introduce Curve, I would start off by saying that this is the place where I'll be posting all things design and fresh from around the web, in magazines, and through my travels, etc. I was privileged to travel around the world in 2006/2007 and after visiting 11 different countries in 6 months, I've seen some of the best and the worst that the world has to offer. Since then, I've developed an acquired taste for fashion and design and you'll see my influences through all the posts on Curve. Also, since I do a bit of professional photography, keep an eye out for some of my own work thrown in the mix.
