Amish Country

For the past week, Curve has been touring around the countryside of Pennsylvania as well as the beautiful city of Philadelphia. Pennsylvania really is a beautiful state with lush green countryside, the Gettysburg battlefield and so much history in the big cities. Plus I've been hanging with some Amish hombres.

I've been capturing bunch video and photography content so expect to see some of the cool shots up on the blog shortly.

Ya Heard: Lykke Li vs Hood Internet

Lately I find myself listening to a lot of the Chicago based duo, The Hood Internet. Their creative mixtapes of mainstream hip hop and dance beats makes for some very interesting music. One of my favorites is Lykke Li vs The Hood Internet. It's essentially a mini-mix from her full length album mixed with a ton of other stuff. The tracks range from melodic to house style dance beats. At 6 tracks, it's short but sweet. Click here to preview and download the full mixtape for free!

DSQUARED2 Sun Specs

Dean and Dan team up with Italian eyewear powerhouse, Marcolin, to offer a brand new mens/womens sunglasses collection for 2009. This model is beyond impressive and I want it bad. I'll be keeping these on the radar. A release date has yet to be announced, but word on the intraweb suggests they'll be available in the first half of 2009.

Shanghai Sartorialist

I recently pulled out this past Men.Style.com feature from the depths of my Macbook hard drive and thought that it would fit well here on Curve. I loved how this feature combined 2 of my passions, Asia and Fashion. I often dream of living the expatriate lifestyle and these photos bring a very unique sartorial perspective to the bustling streets of Shanghai. They're almost a throwback to colonialist Shanghai when foreigners used to dress the part. I particularly like the cotton and seersucker suiting in the first two shots. The whole idea of sartorialism in Asia and around the world is an interesting concept to me because it expands your perspective of fashion outside the holy grail of New York, Milan and Paris.

Steven Alan Fall Winter 09

Steven Alan drops another swell collection for Fall Winter 09 consisting of his signature plaids and casual tops. These are ruggedly casual clothes that I can't help but dream to wear. I want to get my hands on everything.

Dublin Apartment by Fuse Interiors

Here is a beautiful contemporary apartment in Dublin, Ireland. The project was designed by Danielle Mac Innes from Fuse Interiors. Her brief was to create a unique, contemporary look in a new residential development that would appeal to a young market while bringing a fresh feel to the area. I just like everything about this space from the color, the lighting, the art and the furniture.

Stockholm Street Style

One of my favorite corners of the internet is the Stockholm Street Style blog and website.
http://stockholmstreetstyle.feber.se/

This fashion photography blog captures the essence of Scandinavian fashion by profiling individuals out and about in Stockholm, Sweden. The photography is terrific, much like The Sartorialist and Garance Dore blogs. I find it quite interesting to see how the very fashion forward Swedes approach style. It's always nice to see the various perspectives towards style from around the world. Although, the site is in Swedish, the imagery is enough to keep you captivated. Here are a couple of samples that caught my eye:
